Thanapoom Chaiya

OLLP2022

Once upon a time, there was a boy who dreamed of traveling abroad to gain new experiences, learn about other cultures, and improve his language skills. He also dreamed that one day he would become an “international language and cultural exchange student.”

He achieved that dream by becoming an exchange student in Singapore-Malaysia. It was a significant milestone, marking the success of that dream and overcoming many fears along the way.

I would like to express my gratitude:

  • To the International Kingdom program for giving me the opportunity to become an exchange student.
  • To Oxford Language Centre, for teaching me so much over the past year. You helped me develop my English skills, build confidence in communication, and grow through NLP classes, which taught me self-development and how to shift my perspective when facing life’s challenges and problems.
  • To Dr. Ray, a teacher who has always inspired and encouraged me when I felt exhausted from studying. Thank you for giving me the courage and confidence that you instilled in me. I’m truly happy and proud to have been your student for the past year.
  • To T. Afaf, who taught me English and transformed my mindset about the subject. Studying grammar with you was always enjoyable and exciting. Thank you for your kindness and care, from when I was in Thailand to my time abroad. You’re such a lovely teacher, and I will miss you forever.
  • To T. Hakeema, a teacher who inspired me and constantly shared positive energy. Talking to you always left me feeling energized and optimistic. Thank you for helping me grow and change my attitude in many ways. Over the past year, I’ve grown into a better version of myself because of your guidance. Love and miss you forever.
  • To T. Wiarm, another teacher who taught me grammar. You are such a dedicated and caring teacher who always supported your students. I also loved your laughter—it always brought joy! I really enjoyed talking with you. I hope we meet again someday. Miss you forever.

A big thank you to my friends, seniors, and juniors who joined this program and shared these unique and exciting experiences with me. Especially the Singapore group—I believe that after this, we’ll all be stronger and more ready to face whatever challenges come our way. Thank you for the experiences and challenges that brought us closer together and taught us to support and care for one another.

Today, we’ve reached the finish line of this program together. Everyone is amazing for enduring and persevering for an entire year as exchange students abroad. I hope everyone finds success in life. “We leave to meet again.”

P.S. Thank you to all the supporters who made this journey of mine possible—my parents, uncles, aunts, siblings, grandparents, friends, and everyone who supported me.
