Short-term language exchange and leadership development scholarship in Cambridge, England

Project details

This project is an intensive learning program for leadership skills and self-development in the world-class educational city of Cambridge, England. It focuses on developing one’s potential to become a leader, experiencing the world, learning how to live abroad, learning about different education systems, developing one’s personality, and inspiring courage, challenges, and self-discovery, as well as experiencing the world-renowned University of Cambridge. In addition, the project also organizes various workshops that provide participants with special opportunities, such as workshops on becoming successful individuals in business, emotional intelligence, and skills for winning scholarships at various levels, as well as learning lessons from 10 world-famous books that leaders should read. In addition, the selected participants will also travel to gain new experiences, visit nature, different architectures, open their horizons, and create interactions and make new friends to build networks for the future. Most importantly, they will have a broader view of the world and a greater vision.

International Kingdom (Thailand)

It is an international organization that has collaborated with language schools and leaders in ASEAN and Europe. The main objective is to develop the potential of Thai youth to become top leaders on the international stage through learning various foreign languages ​​to understand global knowledge and prepare for global networks. It also supports Thai and international youth in developing their brain potential through learning psychology, neurotransmitters (Neuron Linguistic Programming) or NLP, which is a process that will allow youth to understand themselves and be able to bring out their best potential, adjust their attitudes, thoughts, and beliefs towards themselves and the world around them, as well as leadership skills to practice expressing themselves, knowledge skills through the analytical process, and self-reliance. International Kingdom also supports youth to participate in cultural exchange projects abroad to exchange knowledge, experiences, society, language, and culture, which will lead to an understanding of diverse cultures and differences in society that can be further developed in the future and prepare them to step into the door of opening a wider worldview, leading to the creation of communities, societies, and nations for further progress.

Applicant Qualifications

  1. Age between 18-45 years
  2. Basic English
  3. Thai nationality
  4. Healthy, positive attitude, ready to change and learn about different cultures
  5. Responsible, flexible, adaptable and ready to learn new things
  6. No criminal record
  7. Willing to comply with legal entry conditions and strictly follow the laws and etiquette in England
  8. Never received a full scholarship from the UK government

2 people (The selected candidates will receive an invitation letter for taking leave or requesting a vacation to join the project)

What you will learn in the project

  1. Participate in courses and workshops on leadership and personal development, business excellence and scholarship skills, as well as study tours to various locations in Cambridge.
  2. Experience the University of Cambridge and visit the world’s leading campus at the world’s second-largest university.
  3. Promote personal development, improve attitudes, thoughts and beliefs towards yourself and the world around you, as well as leadership skills.
  4. Receive excellent international opportunities and networks, as well as learn about diverse cultures to expand your knowledge for future careers.

Project participation Phase

  1. Selected candidates will be required to attend all 3 sessions:
  2. Phase 1: December 2023 Prepare documents and apply for a UK entry permit
  3. Phase 2: December 2023 – January 2024 Study online before departure
  4. Phase 3: February 11-25, 2024 Attend the event at Studio Cambridge and the University of Cambridge, UK

Details of study in Phase 2

Participants will study leadership and self-development courses by Dr. Jakarin Srimoon, former Vice President of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and currently an Executive of the United Board at the University of Hong Kong, China.

The teaching will be held online via Google Meet every Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM.

About the Leadership and Self-Development Course (Online)

This program is a program that specifically creates new types of leaders. It is concise and intensive so that the selected candidates can access leadership and discover their own leadership style, as well as see and learn the concept of effective leadership.

It was first developed in 2004-2008 at the University of Rochester Simon School of Business, NY, USA. It has been continuously organized in various educational institutions such as the School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, Nan yang Technological University, Singapore, Clemson University’s College of Business, Carolina, USA, and currently has an additional teaching program at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA.

Expenses (for those who receive a 50% matching fund) for participating in the project

  • Full project value 158,000 baht
  • Confirmation fee and fee 25,000 baht
  • Project participation fee 54,000 baht

The above expenses cover

  1. Round-trip airfare from Bangkok to London
  2. Orientation fee for participants
  3. Leadership and self-development courses and workshops
  4. Host family accommodation in Cambridge
  5. Unlimited bus pass for travel within Cambridge for two weeks
  6. All three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
  7. Activities and visits at Cambridge University
  8. Excursions to the places specified in the itinerary and a trip to Statford

The above expenses do not cover

  1. UK Entry Permit and Passport Fees
  2. Personal expenses while participating in the programme

For those who are not selected but would like to join a similar project in Oxford (Project fee of 220,000 excluding airfare)

You can do the following:

  1. Apply for the program via www.oxfordsummerprogram.com by selecting the executive leadership program.
  2. Pay the full program fee of 4,999 GBP (approximately 220,000 baht, depending on the exchange rate on the payment date.
  3. Applicants must purchase and pay for their own flights and entry permits to the UK.

Main activities during the exchange in England

  • Participants will live with carefully selected host families in a safe neighborhood.
  • Each morning from 9am to 12.30pm, participants will attend leadership and self-development workshops at Studio Cambridge.
  • Each afternoon from 1.30pm, participants will take a field trip to various locations in Cambridge and the Institute will take a special one-day tour of Stratford.
  • Join a classic boat cruise in Cambridge.
  • Visit the sites of world leaders and listen to lectures at the University of Cambridge.
  • Attend the graduation ceremony after the program.

  • Complete the form
  • Attach your personal history to the application
  • Write an essay on the specified topic and attach it to the application form completely
  • Essay topic: “The Path to Self-Leadership: Nurturing Personal Growth and Success” in English Then attach it to the application form. The essay writing rules are as follows:
  • Use Microsoft Word to write
  • More than 300 words but not more than 600 words
  • For English, use Times New Roman font size 14
  • For Thai, use TH SarabunPSK font size 16
  • Save as a .pdf file to attach to the application only
  • Record a video clip in English, 1-2 minutes long
  • Under the topic: “Who exemplifies a true leader and what qualities of this leader inspire you in your pursuit of personal growth & leadership development?”

  • Copy of certificate (evidence of academic achievement, participation in leadership activities, school and social volunteer activities, special abilities)
  • Evidence of transfer of application fee of 400.00 baht
  • Resume/CV (must have a photo, no hat and no sunglasses)
  • Attach a file of an essay on the specified topic in English completely (application method, section 1.2)
  • Link of the url of a 1-2 minute English video clip under the specified topic (application method, section 1.3)
